  • From North: Take I-90/94 to Congress Parkway East. Drive ¼ mile on Congress, turn right on Michigan Ave. Hotel is three blocks down.
  • From South: Take the Dan Ryan Expressway north to I-90/94. Exit I-55 North to Chicago north on Lake Shore Drive. Turn left on Balbo and proceed two blocks. The hotel will be on your left.
  • From West: Take I-290 to Michigan Ave., turn right on Michigan Ave. Hotel is three blocks down.
  • By Transit:  The Hilton is also accessible via many public transit options. It is less than one mile from the Harrison Red Line stop as well as the Roosevelt Orange, Green and Red Line stops. Several bus lines are also available. To plan your trip using public transit, visit RTA Trip Planner.


  • The Hilton Chicago & Towers offers self serve parking at an AFP discounted rate of $26.00 per car. Discount tickets are available the day of the Luncheon at the parking garage or at the AFP registration desk. In and out privileges not available.
  • As an alternate option, the hotel also offers valet parking service on a “subject to availability” basis for $37.00 per car. This rate is not applicable for overnight parking.

Once you arrive at the Hilton

  • Luncheon registration and the reception will be held in the Normandie Lounge located on the second floor of the hotel, just above the main entrance of the hotel on Michigan Ave.
  • The Luncheon will begin promptly at 11:45 in the Grand Ballroom, also located on the second floor.

Coat Check

If the weather dictates a need for a coat check one will be available on the second floor. Directional signage will be provided for your convenience. The cost is $3.00 per item and subject to change.

Substitutions & Replacements

If you are unable to attend and plan to send someone in your place, please email [email protected] by 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 4 to make the change or inform your replacement to pick up your name badge in the Awards Luncheon check-in area (Chicago Ballroom, 2nd floor) and proceed to the on-site registration desk. An AFP registration staff member will then make them a new badge.


Pre-Registered attendees will have their table number indicated on the bottom left corner of the name badge.

Bring business cards for networking!

If you requested a special meal, you will have a special meal ticket with your badge. Limited supplies of special meals will be available. Therefore we can not guarantee a special meal if you did not order it in advance.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing on official, organizational letterhead and must be received by the AFP Chicago Chapter office on or before Friday April 27, 2018. A processing fee of $25 per ticket, processing fee will be deducted from the refunded registration. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after Friday April 27, 2018.  Please send your written cancellation request to Gail Brooks at [email protected].
