During these "stay safer at home" times, we are bringing our Pop-Up Talks to you via a virtual experience. We want to return to an in-person event as soon as it is safe to do so but in the meantime, you can look forward to engaging with our (virtual) network of fundraising professionals for shared experiences, best practices, and critical tools to help you and your organizations during the challenging times ahead. 


TOPIC: Fundraising for the Arts

Join your AFP community for an in-depth discussion centered on fundraising for the arts in 2020 as the pandemic has changed the way art is shared and experienced. The current crisis has presented a particular challenge to organizations centered around art and the performing arts, as they rely upon community gatherings and shared experiences to connect with their donors and patrons. We want to start a conversation for our fundraising peers at arts organizations, who have had to adjust their goals and initiatives in order to fulfill their mission of bringing art and arts education to the community. We want to hear from YOU as our sector forges forward to keep the arts alive in Chicagoland communities. Join us for this AFP pop-up event focused on fundraising for the arts.

TOPIC: Grantwriting and Foundation Stewardship in a Pandemic
Wednesday, July 22nd | Noon – 1:00 pm

Join us for an informal conversation about how grantwriting has changed this year—from rapidly evolving Foundation priorities and guidelines to emergency relief funding to virtual site visits, this has been a whirlwind few months. With our peers, we will discuss what we’ve learned so far, speculate about the changes on the horizon, and celebrate those successes we’ve managed to have. Consider this your Letter of Invitation.
