Make Your 2017 Be The Cause Gift Today!

Have you made a pledge to the 2016 BE the CAUSE Campaign?  Be the Cause is the cooperative, annual fund campaign of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy and our AFP Chicago Chapter.

Your investment in the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy will help support local, national and international programs:

  • Diversity & Inclusion:  the planning phase of the North American expansion of New Faces of Fundraising–a multi-year initiative–will begin in 2017
  • Professional Development:  Professional development grants (formerly scholarships) provide fundraisers and nonprofit leaders with education, training, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Research:  Research that increases knowledge of fundraising, philanthropy, and social innovation includes the Growth in Giving Initiative.

A portion of every donation you make to BE the CAUSE comes back to our chapter to support important chapter programs.  There are several ways to give to the annual fund:

  • One-Time Gift: donate online: www.afpfoundation.org/bethecause, mail a check, call with a credit card or transfer stock
  • Monthly Giving: Make a recurring gift and become a member of the Alpha Society
  • Pledge: Make a pledge with a specified payment schedule

Here’s a sample of what the campaign supports at the AFP International level…

In 2017, your gift will help support the AFP Foundation’s planning phase of the New Faces of Fundraising expansion in North America.

"Over the next few years, New Faces of Fundraising will increase the number of fundraisers from diverse communities and fill the pipeline with new, nonprofit professionals as Baby Boomers retire. Fostering inclusion will empower emerging fundraisers, strengthen the philanthropic culture of local communities; and transform giving across North America."

Susan Earl Hosbach, CFRE
Chair, AFP Foundation for Philanthropy

For those of you who have generously pledged a gift to the 2017 campaign – thank you so much!  You are the best of the best; fundraisers who are also philanthropists.
