AFP Chicago Peer Mentoring Program Expands Its Offerings By: Angeline Mather, Director of Development, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Iowa State University Foundation
As a member of the AFP Chicago Peer Mentoring Committee, I am excited to be welcoming our newest cohort of protégés and mentors in just a few short weeks. Through the good work of committed leadership and engaged members, the Peer Mentoring Program has undergone a delightful transformation this year.
|
The timing of this refresh coincides somewhat serendipitously with a period that has left many of us needing human connection more than ever. Consequently, in addition to our signature component – one-on-one mentoring – the new programmatic bonuses are plentiful.
From Career Discovery Conversations (an opportunity to meet other protégés and mentors in a small-group setting) to reviving our LinkedIn presence (connect with us @AFP Chicago Peer Mentoring Group) to Quarterly Discussion Groups (see July’s spotlight "Something New for Peer Mentor Group" by Noelle Moore), the new class of mentors and protégés will have even more to look forward to in the months ahead. It’s simply a great time to be involved! Learn more.
